Charlottesville Retail & Gift Shops

Charlottesville’s downtown area consists of an eight-block Main Street pedestrian mall with adjoining side streets, continues to generate excitement for locals and tourists alike. In the past several years the mall has become known for its lively blend of antique shops, bookstores, gift shops, and specialty stores.

From furniture and antiques to wine shops, you can find it all among the friendly atmosphere and historic venue of Charlottesville’s downtown walking mall.

If you prefer to get out and see the town, take a scenic drive down Main St. to the University of Virginia. Just beyond the University you will find the Barrack’s Road shopping center, with its own blend of merchants and retail shops. Additional shopping destinations include the Charlottesville Fashion Square, Albemarle Square and Rio Hill Shopping Centers.
